MANNING LAKE

Public BBQ

Manning Park spreads around a lake where birds and frogs make constant noise. The park's ladder-like steps climb up to views of Coogee Beach. Three separate playgrounds, a basketball court, and paved paths work for cycling. The trails see regular dog walking traffic. The heritage Wagon House museum sits among paperbark trees and open lawns. Multiple BBQ areas with picnic tables get busy on weekends, with groups claiming spots on the grass. The park stays relatively quiet despite sitting close to both suburbs and the beach. Clean toilets and water fountains are located near the main playground. The grounds are large enough that different activities happen simultaneously without crowding.
